History.

The League of Nations is the successor to the Association of lichess clubs lichess.org/team/association-of-lichess-clubs and was created to host regular international tournaments for the Nations Cup. With the participation of the national teams of the world on the lichess website.

In May 2020, for technical reasons, the games were not played, but this pause was quickly filled. Games began to be held here laligadeajedrez.com/ and became weekly. Teams who want to play more often, this link is for you. In addition, the same game format (regardless of us) was held in May by FIDE and Chess.com
As for our League of Nations, international tournaments have remained monthly since June 2020. Tournament results will be published here. At the end of the year, a large super tournament will be held among the teams that won prizes in the finals of each month. Thus, the winner for the entire 2020 will be determined.

In addition, we organized the League of Continents (Asia, Africa, Europe), links to them on the first page. Why is this done? If this sounds interesting to you, games for the Continents Cup will be held in the future. Each League team may include a player from any country on this continent. Welcome!
It would be very good if the teams of the American continent could unite in one league. For more precise coordination of tournaments (a big time difference) and our cooperation.

В мае 2020 года по техническим причинам игры не были проведены, но эта пауза была быстро заполнена. Игры стали проходить здесь laligadeajedrez.com/ и стали еженедельными. В конце года будет проведен большой Супертурнир среди команд, которые заняли призовые места в финале каждого месяца. Таким образом, будет определен победитель на весь 2020 год

Кроме того, мы организовали Лиги континентов (Азия, Африка, Европа), ссылки на них на первой странице. Почему это сделано? Если это будет интересно для вас, игры на Межконтинентальный Кубок будут проводиться в будущем. Каждая команда Лиги может включать игрока из любой страны на этом континенте. Добро пожаловать!
Было бы очень хорошо, если бы команды Американского континента могли объединиться в одну лигу. Для более точной координации турниров (большая разница во времени) и нашего сотрудничества.

С 22 по 23 июня 2020г состоялась очередная суперсерия турниров на приз ,,КУБОК НАЦИЙ -июнь 2020'' от ,,League of Nations''
22 июня состоялись 4 отборочных турнира для участия в финале месяца.

В отборочных турнирах Суперсерии приняли участие команды из 30 стран (из 32 заявленных) в количестве 527 игроков. Я выражаю свою признательность всем участникам турнира за азартную и красивую игру. Это настоящие патриоты своих стран.
По итогам отборочных турниров в результате упорной борьбы в финал июня (первые 2 команды из каждого турнира +одна команда с наилучшим результатом среди третьих мест) вышли девять команд. Они и разыграли главный приз Лиги Наций за июнь в финале суперсерии состоявшемся 23.06.20.

Nations Cup 2020-June.
From June 22 to 23, 2020, the next super-series of tournaments for the prize ,, CUP OF THE NATIONS -June 2020 '' from ,, League of Nations '' took place
On June 22, 4 qualifying tournaments took place to participate in the final of the month.
The qualifying tournaments of the Super Series were attended by teams from 30 countries (out of 32 declared) in the amount of 527 players. I express my gratitude to all the participants of the tournament for a gambling and beautiful game. These are real patriots of their countries.
268 players from 9 countries took part in the final. As a result of a stubborn struggle (especially for 2nd and 3rd place, the difference was only 2 points), the team became the winner and holder of the Nations Cup-June 2020

14 июля состоялись 3 отборочных турнира для участия в финале месяца.

Многие команды уже традиционно участвуют в этих ежемесячных турнирах , появились и новые участники. From 14 to 15 July 2020, another super-series of tournaments for the CUP OF NATIONS - July 2020 prize from the League of Nations took place
On July 14, 3 qualifying tournaments were held for participation in the final of the month.
Teams from 30 countries (out of 30 announced) took part in the qualifying tournaments of the Super Series in the amount of 464 players. Many teams traditionally participate in these monthly tournaments, and new participants have appeared. I would like to express my gratitude to all the participants of the tournament for the beautiful game and, which is very important, for the friendly atmosphere that invariably reigns at these games.
According to the results of qualifying tournaments, as a result of a persistent struggle, nine teams advanced to the July final (the first 3 teams from each tournament). They played for the main prize of the League of Nations for July in the final of the super series held on 07/15/2020.
The final was attended by 262 players from 9 countries. As a result of a stubborn struggle (especially for the 3rd place - the difference from the 4th place was only 1 point), the team participating in our tournaments for the first time became the winner and the owner of the Cup of Nations in July 2020.

С 25 по 26 августа 2020г состоялась очередная суперсерия турниров на приз ,,КУБОК НАЦИЙ -август 2020'' от ,,League of Nations''
25 августа состоялись 4 отборочных турнира для участия в финале месяца.

From 22 to 23 September 2020, another super series of tournaments for the CUP OF NATIONS - September 2020 prize from the League of Nations was held.

Teams from 47 countries (out of 47 announced) took part in the qualifying tournaments of the Super Series in the amount of 677 players. The League of Nations expresses gratitude to all the tournament participants for the traditionally open and friendly atmosphere of the tournament.
According to the results of the qualifying games, 10 teams reached the September finals (the first 2 teams from each tournament). They competed for the top prize of the League of Nations for September at the Super Series final on September 23rd.
