Please add a setting to turn off confirmation button 4 resigning.

It's not a big deal to me, but if there was an option in preferences to disable the resignation confirmation I would select it. In 3,000 games I've never come close to accidentally resigning, but since the button was added I've thought I resigned a couple times only to wonder why the clock was still ticking away 10 seconds later. I can see why people who play a lot of Bullet and want to quickly offer draws might have a different experience than me. Even if it stays mandatory, I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually.
I would welcome an option in the preferences to turn it off or on.

Thanks !
I'm really glad to learn I'm not the only one who hates this new feature. I have never accidentally resigned a game, and I find it hard to see how people are doing it so often that this button is necessary, I would love to be able to turn it off.
I'd like this to be an option too. For me (a bullet player), it's just an annoyance.
Wow, I have no idea why making it an option would be rejected. Things like this always be an option. I was a huge proponent of adding the feature, but not making it mandatory for everyone. It hurts way more, by the way, to play one game for an hour and a half (or even two or three months) and instead of offering/claiming a draw, accidentally resigning than it does to have to click twice to resign in bullet, but I can definitely imagine that's annoying.
Another perspective of the resign button: For me a white flag actually signalate a draw (= peace) rather than I resign. However A fallen king for example would more look like resigning.
Interesting #20, but going by the historic military usage (like you are), a white flag has almost always meant capitulation. It has connotations of peace, but it is important to remember that losing can also lead to peace.

In practice, it was more often used as a sign by the capitulating party seeking to exit its camp to _sue for peace_, rather than immediately end the battle or war.
