Cheating

The cheating on the internet chess servers is a big problem, but witchhunting them like that is not a solution in my opinion. Yes, there might be a big difference in the playstyle of a computer and a
human but it doesnt mean that the player has used an engine for sure /:
It might be a good try but, isn't it the worst thing ever when a good player is banned just because he is good?
That's the thing. Most things can't be "proven" over the Internet; we can only accumulate evidence.

So yes, it would be terrible to adjust somebody who was not a cheater. Then again, you can never rule out the possibility that the person was legit, because nothing can be proven over the Internet.

According to thibault, the damage of resetting someone's rating and marking them as a "cheater" can all be undone in case it turns out to be a false positive. If the person's reaction isn't, OMG MAH
PRECIOUS POINTS, we can usually negotiate things.

That's why I'm following thibault's specifications regardless.
@Morozov

It's not a witch hunt they're trying to make conditions on the site playable and fair for players who are here to play against other people not Ipad cheat apps or Houdini.
