I can see that friends of mine ar eonline if I go to my full friends list, indeed I just played a live game with one of them. However the Friends Online widget in the bottom right is showing o-one online and it is pop popping up when clicked.
Is there an issue with this at the moment?

It was also not working for me yesterday or the day before that.

Same here
Same here friends online does nothing when I click on it. The android lichess app also doesn't show the friends icon top right. It just dissapeared as if it was never there when I launch the app now.
Seems like they fixed it. All good now.
