I have only one trick for you: DONT HANG PEICES

I've shown this game before but, on move 17, I played Nd3+ which after Kf1 I would play Be2+ as an attraction sacrifice and after Ke2+ I would play Nf4+ winning the queen(because it is check). After that, I could sac my rook by playing Qd6, Bxh8, Qd3+, Kd1, Qxb1+, Ke2, Qxh1. After this mess, computer give an evaluation of -9.2. I play black. None of that happened though :(, my opponent played Kg1, declining the sacrifice of my bishop.

You have to analyse for sometime before playing. It may be boring, but I had only wins and adraw when I played like that.
