It’s crunch time as we head onto the final month of the 11th Correspondence League – with titles, promotions and relegations all set to be decided.

The final three rounds will all be played simultaneously from Saturday, and the beauty of the format means no promotions have yet been confirmed and the only relegations are down to withdrawals.

Here is how things stand in your group ahead of rounds seven, eight and nine. A reminder – if two players finish on the same score, the following tiebreaks will apply in this order:

#1: Points vs. tied participants
#2: Match wins
#3: Sonnerborn-Berger score against group (not calculated in these league tables).

I’ve tried to include the various tiebreaks in the tables.

Group M (Extra group)
1. Eagle34500Thomas P6 Pts 12
2. Ladosik P6 Pts 9
3. daefan P6 Pts 7
4. ysl98 P6 Pts 6
5. sabavh7117 P5 Pts 5 (Sonnenborn-Berger calculation required with makifer)
6. makifer P6 Pts 5
7. Alphamath P6 Pts 4 (superior head-to-head vs Lucasiri83)
8. Lucasiri83 P6 Pts 4 (superior head-to-head vs IgnacioRoO)
9. IgnacioRoO P5 Pts 4
10. code9 P6 Pts 2

Eagle34500Thomas is setting a blistering pace at the top of the table, with a 100 per cent record and a healthy three-point lead. But there is still a little work to do to secure the group championship, although Ladosik must have a perfect finish to stand any chance. Both daefan and ysl98 may yet harbour hopes of making a later run for second spot.

As future league placings will be based on ratings and league performance, there is still plenty to play for for all players involved.

Best of luck to all competitors in your final three games!
