takebacks

As a principle I never accept takebacks in rated games and consequently I never ask for any. It´s my way to sharpen my concentration. Some people claim mouseslip but it´s not always easy to decide what kind of mistake. Quite often people ask for a takeback when they discover a better solution when they have moved. What`s your opinion?
Granting a take-back is necessarily resulting in a disadvantage for the granting player. You made a good point saying it is a matter of concentration and focussing. In a rated game I never allow a take-back (was actually never asked to do so) and, yes, in an unrated game it's ok if its obviously a mouseslip and the game would thus be spoiled.
Granting somebody a take back and then we ask them they never give!! As my principle don't give anybody takebacks (even in unrated matches)DON'T PITY THEM!!!!!!!!!!!
I asking sometimes only when I did the missclick and I usually accept takebacks from other players because if they want to do beter move we will play a better game
so for me its challenge to accept like "ok show me what you got on me and anyway will try to beat you" :)
I only accept takebacks in games with my friends, and I only grant takebacks if my opponent obviously had a mouseslip (like moving a queen into the direct path of a pawn or minor piece).
good for learning and coffeehouse games, although i never use them
I only grant takebacks when I have slept well and feeling good.
