Hey! I'm guessing your previous opponent was @german11
He's the most active player on Lichess ever, and has the most games. Nobody has played more games than him. To check out other players who have played a lot of games, but still less than @german11, you can go to lichess.org/player and scroll down to see the active players list; just like you mentioned.
