Lost vs king-only

First flaw I came across on this excellent platform.

http://nl.lichess.org/YYTp9Mw7PYmS

My position is insusceptible to becoming lost. (I am black)

I had to choose between
"offer a draw" - button
"resign" - button
not making a move or walk away
making a move

Other choices then "resign" depend on my opponent, so they are quickly disregarded.

Obviously I made the most efficiënt choice by resigning.
In real life this would be the equivalent of making a handshake gesture. This is quicker then offering a draw and then shaking hands. I have done so many times and never did I end up losing the game.
I feel like we're missing some detail; what exactly is the flaw in question here?

Specifically, why was making moves to finish the game so bad that you chose to resign instead?
Why did you not offer a draw?

By the way, once white took the pawn, lichess would automatically declare a draw.
FIDE Rules of chess 5.1.b
The game is won by the player whose opponent declares he resigns. This immediately ends the game.

So, no, there isn't any flaw.
The quickest way to play a new game is to resign. Why wait on your opponent by offering a draw or making a move? rating?

You can argue that the resign option works or doesnt work in this case. However you can't argue that there is a satisfying, asshole-proof, alternative.

You cannot claim a draw. Your opponent can refuse your drawoffer, or in other endgames he can infinitely move the lonely king. Your game can last a long time, just because lichess cannot claim a drawn position. How is that not a flaw, doug?

When a game is rendered pointless, I will choose resign over waiting on my opponent every day of the week.
What about this:
-your opponent is an asshole (refuses drawoffer),
-he has only a king,
-you can theoretically win the game, but we all know you won't.

In order to get your draw you must choose:
play 50 moves (waste time)
resign (waste rating)
be playing on a platform that gives you a draw when you resign (by the way, this is pretty much every platform other than lichess)

Resigning starting to look better yet?
I would like to say: "if your opponent refuses the draw, then let the clock run, open a new tab and play another game", but I remember it's not possible here... Anyway, resignation in such cases shouldn't happen too often, so your rating may come back to normal after a dozen of games.

But if you're persistent enough, the developpers may please you by transforming the button "ask for a draw" into "force draw" when the opponent has only its king - but I would do that my n°1 priority.
Since letting the clock run and "it shouldn't happen too often", arent any solutions, I guess its a flaw.

This platform is still by far the best one.
