Why have LM requirements increased over time?

It used to be that LM was 2250+ for bullet. I see that now it is 2450+, which essentially requires one to be one of the top 20 players on the site, a group mostly populated by already-titled players (IM/GM). Why has it increased so dramatically?
yeah, I totaly agree :) I used look at the LM requirements with hope, ( I wanted to become one) but since they increased the requirements, I am kinda mad about it.
It may be due to rating inflation. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, as if it stayed at 2250 now there would be hundreds of LMs running around the site. Getting over 2250 for ten games isn't that difficult for someone who's actually only 2050-ish strength.

Well, lichess ratings are generally inflated anyways. I've got an average of 300 points lower on chess.com and about 400 points lower on ICC.
Requirements change, like everything does. It's only natural.
There's more strong players nowadays, and want LM to remain a rare thing. So requirements are raised.
#3, I'm not so sure... For instance, one of the many requirements to become a GM is to have an Elo of at least 2500, many GMs after achieving such a rating couldn't keep it, but they still GMs because the title is held for life.
Is it necessary to be limited to one title? We could always have LFM, LIM and LGM, or some equivalents.
