Engine Variations in Study

This seems like a new bug. I have engine analysis turned off, and I can't see the variations the engine gives in the normal analysis board of a game. However, when I make a study for that game, I can see the engine's variations even though I have engine analysis turned off. This is annoying to me as many times I want to analyze a game on my own without the help of the engine.
I apologize for this confusion up front, and it's because our UI is currently not the best. But I must ask for clarification:

Have you turned off all evaluation via the toggle labeled "Enable" under COMPUTER ANALYSIS in hamburger menu (or 'z' key)?
Or did you turn off local evaluation via the engine bar toggle to the upper right of the board (on landscape layouts)?
I have turned off all evaluation via the "Enable" button.
I understand now. We actually discard the fact that variations originated from fishnet in study data (but not normal analysis). We're aware of the issue but it involves data model updates to address. There are questions as to whether it's worth it, but if a lot of users wish to hide variations they requested via server eval in study - it can't hurt to chime in here.
