Postpone a game in progress (with secret pre-move)

Hi there,

It would be great if there was a possibility to postpone / delay a game with mutual agreement, but with a pre-move to make things equal for both sides. Probably mostly applies to classical games. Here's how it works:
1. Players agree to delay the game on the interface (much like for Draw) but the clock is not stopped yet.
2. The player whose move it is - makes the move while the clock is still ticking. This move is not shown to the opponent, instead - stored on the server, but it is set and permanent. The clock is now paused and game postponed. This is to make things equal, since now both player can only think about the game offline only having their last move known.
3. When the players come back to the game - the secret move now is made (as with pre-moves) and game continues as normal.

Players could agree personally on the time to continue, but that's likely not gonna be practical. The best would probably be to integrate it with existing notification system for "challenge" and the "games in play". So whenever someone you have a game postponed with comes online and you are not playing any real time game - you get notification that you can accept (just like the one for the challenge currently), you can decline to postpone even more (but why would you do that?). The game would sit in the "games in play" tab. In case that never continued games become a problem - there could be a rule that after 10 days the last who declined a continuation looses or if nobody has declined - the one who requested a postpone.
Ok, so there's a couple of use cases / uses of this:
1. It would be easier to commit to 2-5 hour match. You could play it for 1 hour and then postpone it if you have to go do something else.. Someone might suggest correspondence, but for me it just doesn't cut it because it's annoying not to be able to sit down and have an hour or so focus on the play, with correspondence it's more like playing chess puzzles multiple times a day than an actual match.
2. Playing multiple matches at the same time would be easier too because you could commit to longer clock games without having to commit yourself to finishing all games with 1-3 hour clocks (so for this it could be made that with 30+ min clock games - an acceptance of postponing would be automatic / non-voluntary).
3. You might simply find a match not so interesting and want to continue next day when you have more energy..
4. Could work for simple bathroom pause too..
As an idea I think it would be interesting and useful.
BUT(there is always a but)

Practically it doesnt make sense, I dont think that many people who play classical play 30+ minute games (I do and I have a hard time finding players to play with) , those who do dont necessarily are willing to adjourn their games, and even the ones who do chances are both your schedules dont match so the 10 day cap would be easily reached even if you both are willing to play. This ends up making the feature useful in a very low number of actual games and its not worth the devs time.

Anyhow, I would love to see this feature implemented, but I think its not viable from a practical point of view.
I agree that currently 30 min clock is not played very often, but the point I am making is that this is only because it requires a commitment you do not necessary want to fulfill in one go. In other words 30+ and especially an hour and more per side is not used because it's lacking features that would make this kind of game possible. I think this feature (possibly simplified) if implemented would shift more players into playing longer clocks.

If we are 2 people who would like it on the forum - chances are there is a good percentage there too.
