Alexander Grischuk

I was playing against FIDE #9 best player Alexander Grischuk. It was 3 minutes blitz game and I lost the game. Even I am chess patzer with bad chess knowledge I fought like a lion! :) The game was played at chess24, so I imported the game to the lichess, because I am not allowed to post link to the other chess site. Banter blitz with Alexander Grischuk will be available on youtube channel tomorrow.

PS: Sad thing is that GMs are not interested in play against lower rated players at lichess site. What a shame.
Alexander was commenting 10th Carlsen vs Caruana game with Peter Svidler and Anish Giri, so Alexander was a little bit tired, but still he played very good games in Banter blitz session.
I already watched it, you even got some compliments by Grischuk, so what can I say? Congrats, yes you played well above your rating!
I never played such a strong player, in my whole life I played only one player over 2600. So don't mind about lichess.
Microraver: Here is the link at youtube website. :) Grischuk started banter blitz almost 2 hours late, so a lot of members thought that Alexander will not play at all. I just posted him challenge and then I made a cup of tea. Nobody knew when banter blitz will be started. Then I heard sound that game was started so I immediately go back to my computer and start playing. This is the reason, why Alexander waited so much time for my first move :D

Congrats on getting such compliments from Grischuk, very cool! :D
GMs arent interested in playing lower rated players here cos of cheating, chess24 it doesnt make sense a premium member to use his money for subscription then cheat against a GM, thats why they insist on playing premium members, in the past i have seen Svidler play non members and they all end up cheating
At chess24, the banter blitzers play premium only, to motivate users to become premium. And they have been cheated by premiums, too.
Cheaters cheat, because they believe to be undetectable.
