My first Bullet Arena win!

I had had a bad day earlier, and I Decided to play a bullet arena.

Game-1-MarvelMLL(1739)

I played against a 1739, I tried to attack him with the h pawn, he played good moves and I only had a small advantage in the first 15 moves. I played 16.Ng4! Attacking his queen, However he didnt see it and blundered his queen, and the rest was smooth sailing(Except when I hung my queen on move 30!). The game:

Game-2-Draw_Vesper(2167)

I was paired against a near 2200. The game was ok till move 13.f4?? I missed that the e pawn was pinned to the rook on e1. Luckily, he didnt see it. However I then proceeded to hand an entire rook on e1 at which point I though that I was going to lose, but then he started the take a lot of time for his moves. I managed to flag him on move 42. I paired against a 1700, and proceeded to hang a rook not once, but for 3 moves straight! He didnt take it, and castles instead on the 3rd move, Then he made couple of mistakes on move 12 and 13, before I blundered with 14.Bh3?? and then he didnt take the free e5 pawn. I took on g2 and played Qh3, He played Kg1 which allowed me to mate him. The game:

Game-4-TadejPogabike(2052)

The first 10 moves were normal, then he ventured out with 11.Qa5?! I offered a trade of dark square bishops and then retreated back to g5. He played 13.e5?? Missing that I can sac my rook for 2 minors and then even allowed me to mate him with 16.Qh6. The game:

Game-5-miladtrader(2023)

After mistakes by both sides, the position was equal on move 16. I played 20. Bf5? simply loses a pawn. He too with the wrong piece on move 23.Qxd4?? Allowing me to skewer his queen and bishop and later play 24.Rc2! After which he is simply down a piece. He then got flagged on move 41. The game:

Game-6-andreauli(1927)

I mouse slipped and played 2.Ke2? instead of 2.Be2. I still managed to equalise but missed a chance to trap the bishop with 13.c5! 19.d5?? Gave away all of whites advantage. He then missed a chance to fork me. The position was equal on move 33. We both blundered the next move. He made the final blunder with Re8?? and allowed me to get 2 pawns extra in a rook endgame, which soo turned into 3. I started relaxing and I realized I was low on time. I managed to win with 0.08 seconds on the clock! The game:

Game-7-ADGJL2021(2463)

The first big game! The opening was normal, and it was equal by move 13, then a series of mistakes(Nxe5 was missed) and even a blunder 14.b6?? He didnt take advantage of it, And I managed to equalize again by move 22.Qc6! He decided to run with his king, And then i missed a rook fork and played 34.Qxg3+?? instead of 24.Qg1+! I found a rook fork in the next move, however and then converted into an easy victory. The game:

Game-8-GENADI_KUHOLEIKIN(2068)

My opponent played a number of small inaccuracies in the opening, And the I threw all of my advantage with Bb5?? The e4 pawn hanging was missed by both players for many moves, but once I defended it with 20.Nd2! I managed to win easily barring a blunder and a missed opportunity where I almost threw the game. I titled player! As I am really tired(this is the first time I am typing this much) I will say less, the opening was perfect, The middle game had a few blunders, now the interesting part is the endgame. I blundered a knight fork, he didnt see it. I realized that my position was getting worse move by move, so I played to flag, it worked and he lost on time in a completely winning position. The game:

The same opponent again. He missed a free piece in the opening again, and I was in control until 23.Ng3?? Losing a piece and a pawn. I remained down a piece for the entire game, he even queened, but time was the main factor as he flagged up 9 points of material. The game:

Game-11-ADGJL2021(2452)

This was the final battle. If I won, I pretty much win the entire thing, If he wins its neck and neck. Things were not great as I hung a queen on move 10, he thought for 4 seconds and didnt take it. Then a huge exchange happened, I came out of it as the slightly better side, managed to trade queens and then, proceeded to blunder all my endgame advantage away with the move 32.Rh1?? It became a draw, however he was much lower on time, and under pressure he made a couple mistakes and I managed to win the game and seal 1st place in the tourney. The game:

SUMMARY

This was the first major tournament that I had won on Lichess, so I am very happy. A 100% win rate and a 2600 performance made it even more memorable. My next blog will be my 10000 games on lichess blog, it will be released in the next 3 days or so.
